PDX Love Over Hate Campaign:

In July of 2020 Mimi Adams owner of Mimi’s Fresh Tees, received a hateful letter in the mail with racist slurs and threats to hurt her and her family. Their world was rocked and worst of all they no longer felt safe. In response, Adams and friends started PDX Love Over Hate to combat hate through the visual representation of yard signs and matching t-shirts. The campaign’s mission is to blanket neighborhoods. with these signs and let everyone who has experienced hate know that they are loved and supported. More specifically for kids to see the yard signs and know that the area is a safe space for them.

Our Mission

Our mission is to blanket the city with love and to let everyone who has experienced hate to know that we stand in solidarity with them. First, we encourage everyone to place a PDX LOVE OVER HATE sign in their yard, business or front window. PDX Love Over Hate signs are distributed free of charge (though we accept tax deductible donations to cover printing costs, $15 per sign suggested) as supplies allow.

If you would like to support the mission of PDX Love Over Hate by donating and/or posting a sign, click here or click the link at the top of this page. Donations over $50 will receive a yard sign and Love Over Hate T-shirt.
