Our Mission

A Blanket of Love Across PDX

We are on a mission to blanket Portland neighborhoods with a simple, powerful message. Every single yard sign we place is a reminder to anyone who has experienced bigotry that they are loved, valued, and fiercely supported by their community.

How We Began: When Hate Threatened Us, Love Showed Up

In 2020, the founder of Portland’s own Mimi’s Fresh Tees and her daughter received horrific, targeted racist death threats for her activism and social justice apparel. The intent was to spread fear, but the response from our community was love.

The Love over showered the hate which inspired the PDX Love Over Hate yard sign campaign. We realized that love needs to be visible on every block so that every neighbor, and every child, knows they are safe.
